Theophilus Sunday hails from Dekina local government in Kogi State. He belongs to the Igala tribe in Kogi State, Nigeria. He was born on the 9th of May 1987. As of 2023, he is 36 years old. For his high school education, he attended Ochaja Boys Secondary School in Ochaja, Kogi State. Later, he proceeded to Kogi State University (KSU) in Anyigba, where he obtained a degree in Theatre Arts.
Minister Theophilus has always had a passion for music right from his early days. In fact, he mentioned that in his early days, he was in love with many secular artists and drew inspiration from early 2000s artists like Akon, West Life and many others. Surprising as it may sound, it was his encounter with the Lord that turned his life around and set the course of his destiny.

The humble beginnings of Minister Theophilus date as far back as his youthful age. He began his journey as a drummer, then a choir member, to a music leader and then to a renowned gospel minister today. Theophilus started as a music minister back on campus at the Koji State University (KSU) Lokoja. He mentioned that in his early days, he trained in the field of music so much that his room became a gathering point for singers and instrumentalists on campus. He not only trained rigorously in the field of music but also placed priority and emphasised prayer as the music director of his fellowship.
He was popularly called T-Moss on campus, a nickname derived from J-Moss the talented American gospel singer. He was known as a dedicated minister of God who was completely sold out to God.
